The 2023-24 Royce Institute equipment access scheme programme is now open for applications. Students, Post-Doc Researchers, Academics and SMEs are invited to apply for funding to access the Royce Institute equipment for imaging, characterisation and fabrication at Cambridge University, for short projects that must be complete by the 31st of March 2024.
Further information is given below, in all cases please apply directly to Royce@Cambridge by submitting the application forms to royce@maxwell.cam.ac.uk . Student and Researcher Access Scheme - Internal to Cambridge University
Students, Post-Doc researchers and Academics internal to Cambridge University are invited to apply for funding up to £5k to access Royce Institute supported equipment at Cambridge University for short projects that must be complete by the 31st of March 2024. Proposals may be submitted to royce@maxwell.cam.ac.uk using the Internal Access Funding Form until the 31st of March 2023 with successful applicants informed by the end of April.
Student and Researcher Access Scheme - External to Cambridge University
Students, Post-Doc researchers and Academics external to Cambridge University are invited to apply for funding up to £5k to access Royce Institute supported equipment at Cambridge University for short projects that must be complete by the 31st of March 2024. Proposals may be submitted to royce@maxwell.cam.ac.uk using the External Access Funding Form and will be approved on a first-come-first-served basis.
SME Access Scheme
SMEs are invited to apply for funding up to £10k in commercial costs to access Royce Institute supported equipment at Cambridge University for projects that must be complete by the 31st of March 2024. Proposals may be submitted to royce@maxwell.cam.ac.uk using the SME Access Funding Form and will be approved on a first-come-first-served basis. Previous SME projects have been very successful and have led to not only new industry-academic collaborations but have also allowed SMEs to develop their devices and go back out to investors to raise capital to expand their businesses and create jobs.
