Message from Cambridge Zero:

You are warmly invited to attend a series of workshops organised by  Cambridge Zero, focussed on a broad common theme of materials and the transition to net-zero. These workshops are supported by the Natural Environment Research Council as part of their Cross-disciplinary Research for Discovery Science activities. The workshop topics and dates are listed below. Please follow the links for more information on each workshop and to register.

·       Monday 13th March, 13.00-17.00: Circular economy and waste, Maxwell Centre, JJ Thompson Avenue

·       Thursday 23rd March, 12.00-17.00: Energy materials for net zero: what can modelling do for you?, West Hub, JJ Thompson Avenue

·       Friday 24th March, 12.00-15.00: Environmental, social and ethical dimensions of materials for net zero, James Dyson Building, Department of Engineering

These workshops are targeted at an internal Cambridge University academic audience, with the aim of facilitating new cross-disciplinary connections and collaborations under this broad theme. Early Career Postdoctoral Researchers are also very welcome to attend. Please share this invitation with interested colleagues, including members of your department, institute, or research group.

The workshops will consist of a series of short presentations from colleagues with expertise related to these topics. There will be plenty of time for discussion and, for the two longer events, facilitated breakouts on a number of pre-defined topics. Outputs from the workshop will be used to shape the development of new cross-disciplinary research funding proposals.

Registration is essential.  Please use the Eventbrite links above.
